Hawaiian Airlines is set to launch a brand-new premium-class-only lounge at Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL). The lounge, located in Terminal 1's Mauka Concourse, will open by the end of 2027, marking the first major shared project between Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines after their merger. According to Alaska Air Group, the new lounge will be five times larger than the current Premier Lounge and will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, ample seating, and dedicated dining and bar areas.
Both Hawaiian and Alaska currently operate their own lounge networks, but this upcoming space will be a first-of-its-kind for either carrier — specifically tailored to premium-class flyers on long-haul routes between Hawaii and the continental U.S. or select international destinations. While lounge access policies have not been finalized, it's likely that business and first-class travelers will be eligible for this exclusive facility.
In addition to this new lounge, Hawaiian Airlines continues to enhance its in-flight experience, rolling out fast and free Starlink Wi-Fi on A330 and A321neo aircraft. Future travelers can also look forward to the carrier's incoming fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which will feature Hawaiian's newest business-class seats.
